Local racers come out in force
The first of two Fox Superflow® events this year was held at Stromlo Forest Park’s Eastern trails on the last weekend of February. A third of the race field was made up Canberran racers and the local riders claimed 10 of the 23 race category wins. In third overall was the U17’s winner Rebecca Sams from Gunnedah with 13:12.7 ahead of Claire Brooker from Earlwood (13:24.1). Elite racer Olive Tutt from Curtin was outright fifth with 13:54.7.

Cooper Lowe backs up his win from Awaba earlier this year with two fastest race times of the day on the Fox and Stan’s stages. His total race time was 11:26.3 winning by 3.7sec ahead of local shredder Duncan Ledger. Sydney’s David Maggs comes in third in 11:32.1 with the fastest race time on the Lazer stage. Lewis Allbon from Dickson comes in fourth and Paul van der Ploeg from Melbourne is fifth with 11:41.5.
