PORT MACQUARIE, NSW – June 24, 2025 – The Fox Superflow event at Jolly Nose MTB Park on the weekend of 14-15 June saw an incredible display of skill from local riders, with Nick Kennedy from Port Macquarie claiming victory in both the Elite and eBike classifications, setting the fastest overall times of the weekend. The gravity endurance event, which drew almost 200 competitors, was a resounding success despite recent wet weather, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the local club.

Ahead of his travels to Europe to compete in two World Cup events in Italy, the 19-year-old local winner Nick Kennedy smashed the Elite race on Saturday with a blazing time of 6 minutes, 31.8 seconds. Kennedy also competed in the eBike Classification on the Sunday and won that too, claiming the outright fastest time.
“Stoked to be headed over to Europe in a few days for 2 enduro World Cup rounds in the next few weeks,” commented the 19-year-old, who will be racing at the Val Di Fassa and La Thuile Enduro World Cups. He added, “It was an epic weekend on some dusty trails, which is also a credit to the amazing work that the club put in.”

Kennedy’s impressive performance saw him finish a remarkable 13 seconds faster than another local racer, 19-year-old Tom Jenkins. This fellow Port Macquarie talent has also been making waves in the endurance sports scene, consistently achieving podium finishes at the Fox Superflow® Series and tackling challenging triathlons across the country. Both riders have a long history with Rocky Trail races, having come up through the ranks since their youth and competing with the organization for a decade.
In the women’s classification, Elise Murray from Bonville took the outright win with a time of 8:06.8.

Rocky Trail Academy Fosters Young Talent

This vital program, which hosts approximately 20 races on Fridays across the East Coast of Australia, made its debut on the NSW Mid-North Coast, drawing over 100 students from 13 schools across the wider region. Coffs Harbour Christian Community School, with nearly 30 racers, proudly took home the School Championship title.
Both events weekend were proudly supported by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council and Councillor Tubman represented the community at the podium ceremony. The Fox Superflow® is estimated to have generated close to $75,000 in overnight and day visitations for the region, highlighting the significant economic benefit of such events.
