The Action:
What a week in the lead up to the Mt Taylor race – a big thank you to the local Council, land managers from DELWP VIC and the local East Gippsland MTB Club who helped with updates from the region that was affected by bushfires and battered by heavy rain. With the bushfire danger contained, the rain did reach the trails, which held up well and the club crews did an amazing job to help our team to get them race-ready on Friday.
All the local guns came out and Huddo Tarling took the Elite win with 12:02.4. Clocking in the fastest race times on all race stages including Sunday’s PRO track, Tarling took over half a minute off Daniel McConnell’s race time – the all-rounder from Canberra said that the “trails at Mount Taylor are running amazing” and the XC-pro added that he had surprised himself with a P2 on the gravity terrain. Brodie Richardson came in third.
“Super fun weekend out at Mt Taylor for the Fox Superflow® with Rocky Trail Entertainment, happy to go 1,1,1,1 on all the tracks overall!” – Hudson Tarling

In the women’s Connor Mielke had made the trip down from Sydney with a bunch of mates – P1 in Elites Superflow® and the Pro Stage. Second in Elite’s was Haley Dean and in third outright was Vet’s racer,

Great to be hosting the official opening of the Mt Taylor skills park with the local community too – such a great spot!
