Fox Superflow®: The tale of returning to racing. A rider story.

Here is the story from a Rocky Trail racer who returned to racing after a 4-year hiatus away. We love that sponsors like MTB Direct get right into the action with us – earlie this month, they sent Ness from their Customer Service team to the event in Silvan in the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria to see what Superflow® racing was all about. We’d like to share her tale from the day and reading her story made our team high-five back at the office!

We’re stoked to have partners like MTB Direct who help share the love for ‘rocky trails’.

“One of the most powerful sentences that stood out for me as one of the founders was that “the first thing” that Ness felt when she drove into the parking lot of the Silvan trail network was “a sense of welcome”. It’s what Rocky Trail stands for and what our team so passionately works to create across all our event hubs – as a #rockytrailracer you’re our guest. “

Juliane Wisata, Rocky Trail Founder

It is our mission to make your day the best day out on your bike – we want you to have fun, create a racing environment that is friendly and yet allows you to absolutely push yourself to your limits if you’re up for it that day. Compete against your mates, thrive for personal bests and feel part of a community where it’s not just us organisers look after you, but where #rockytrailracers look out for each other. – That’s what it’s all about.

“Such a cool story and journey! – Gave me goosebumps, awesome to hear from the other side of the tape about what we create for our Rocky Trail Racers!”

Jo Parker, National Event Manager

Thanks, Ness for writing your story with so much heart and wit and shout-out to MTB Direct for sharing it. Such a powerful reminder for our team that all our time behind the screens, scouting, marking and looking after our race tracks, and our relentless efforts to strengthening our business networks so that you can “Race the Way you Ride” is all worth it.

“That, dear friends, is what the Superflow means to me. It means the thrill of the race with none of the stress. It means the joy of bikes, basking in gorgeous native bush, riding fun trails carved and maintained by passionate builders, and sharing the stoke with friends new and old.”

Ness, #rockytrailracer

After all, in our small realm of mountain biking, with Rocky Trail we want to make a difference and help get more people out into nature – on bikes. Next up: Falls Creek!
